Dr Hal Hoffman Professor of Paediatrics and Medicine and Chief of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology in the Dept of Paediatrics at UC San Diego/Rady Children’s Hospital. His lab was the first to identify the genetic basis of four human diseases, including NLRP3, the gene responsible for cryopyrin associated periodic syndromes (CAPS).

Dr Anna Simon Associate Professor at the Dept of Internal Medicine, Radboud University Medical Centre, Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She specialises in autoinflammatory disorders and is a co-founder of the Radboud Clinical Expertise Centre for Immunodeficiency and Autoinflammation in Nijmegen.
